October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
In honor of Buddy Check’s 20th Anniversary First Coast News has teamed up with Baptist Health to encourage you and your buddy to make monthly self-exams and regular mammograms part of your health routine.
Join them this Saturday, October 27th anytime between 11am and 2pm for light refreshments, manicures, massages and to learn more about caring for your breasts and cancer prevention. Several local congregations have partnered with them to simultaneously host this event, see the list below.
Early detection is key so if you are a woman:
• 40 years of age or older
• Live in zip codes 32202, 32204, 32206, 32208, 32209, and 32254
• Have a primary care doctor or clinic
• Have not had a mammogram in the past 12 months
• No previous breast pain or problems
There will also be a special gift for the women that brings the most buddies!!
